TELEVISION

Television is one of communication tools that is used to get a lot of information quickly. Besides that, television functions to give entertainments to the spectators.

Nowadays television has a big part to influence the spectators. We must be careful to select the programs on television because there are many positive and negative effects from television.

The positive effects are :

·         We can get a lot of information or news from many places around the world.

·         We can get many entertaintment from television. The entertainment can make us happy and change the situation from bad mood to good mood.

·         We can learn many things about movies, games, sport, adventure and so on. For example, the movie which has a title “Iron Will”. It tells about the strong spirit and struggle in reaching aspiration.

The negative effects are :

·         The bad movie can influence the spectators to do bad actions. They imitate the actions that are shown on television.

·         The spectators who are addicted by the programs on television will feel lazy to do the other things. They spend most of their time in front of television to watch the sinetron (short role play/drama) and so on.

·         The children who watch the adult movie (the movie that is not suitable to their age) are very dangerous if they imitate the actions in the adult movie.

After knowing the positive and negative effects of television, we must be careful to select the programs on television in order that we are not trapped in the dark world.

Chapter 8 The best and the worst

Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town. Nearly everybody enters for ‘The Nicest Garden Competition’ each year, but Joe wins every time. Bill Frith’s garden is larger than Joe’s. Bill works harder than Joe and grows more flowers and vegetables, but Joe’s garden is more interesting. He has made neat paths and has built a wooden bridge over a pool. I like gardens too, but I do not like hard work. Every year I enter for the garden competition too, and I always win a little prize for the worst garden in the town!

Chapter 7 Too late

The plane was late and detectives were waiting at the airport all morning. They were expecting a valuable parcel of diamonds from South Africa. A few hours earlier, someone had told the police that thieves would try to steal the diamonds. When the plane arrived, some of the detectives were waiting inside the main building while others were waiting on the airfield. Two men took the parcel off the plane and carried it into the Customs House. While two detectives were keeping guard at the door, two others opened the parcel. To their surprise, the precious parcel was full of stones and sand!

Chapter 6 Percy Buttons

I have just moved to a house in Bridge Street. Yesterday a beggar knocked at my door. He asked me for a meal and a glass of beer. In return for this, the beggar stood on his head and sang songs. I gave him a meal. He ate the food and drank the beer. Then he put a piece of cheese in his pocket and went away. Later a neighbour told me about him. Everybody knows him. His name is Percy Buttons. He calls at every house in the street once a month and always asks for a meal and a glass of beer.

Macam - Macam Hidayah

Tanpa hidayah, manusia tidak akan mampu bertahn hidup di dunia ini, paling tidak ada 4 macam hidayah yang diberikan pada manusia oleh Allah

1. Hidayatul Wijdan = potensi naluriah yang Allah tanamkan pada manusia untuk dapat mempertahankan kehidupannya. insting/naluri = berupa tindakan-tindakan sederhana yang dilakukan manusia sebagai akibat langsung dari nalurinya dalam meraih suatu kenikmatan atau menghindari suatu penderitaan tertentu. hidayah ini bersifat bawaan dan diperoleh sejak lahir.

contoh= bayi ketika sakit atau lapar akan menangis, padahal tidak ada yang pernah mengajarkan bayi untuk menangis jika ia merasa lapar atau sakit. Kita mencari air ketika meras haus.

2. Hidayatul Hawas wal Masya’ir = kemampuan indrawi untuk menangkap/ menerjemahkan rangsang dari luar diri manusia. tanpa kemampuan ini manusia tidak akan mampu bertahan hidup.

contoh = kemampuan melihat, mendengar, merasakan manis, pahit, dingin, panas dll

kemampuan indrawi ini, walaupun sangat bermanfaat ternyata memiliki kelemahan, ingat fenomena fatamorgana? dari jauh seperti ada air, ketika didekati ternyata tidak ada. fenomena gaung dan gema, seseorang berbicara sekali, tetapi terdengar lebih dari sekali. fenomena garis horizon, apakah bumi itu datar?

3. Hidayatul Aqli = kemampuan berpikir, kemampuan untuk memahami suatu fenomena, memberikan persepsi, kemampuan untuk menginterpresetasikan realita yang tertangkap oleh alat indra. Akal dapat membantu kelemahan indra.

akal lah yang akan menerangkan hal-hal yang tak dapat dijelaskan pleh indra, akal lah yang berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip rasional akan menolak, mempertanyakan, mencari sebab membuat penilaian dan penafsiran terhadap hasil indrawi kita.

pada banyak ayatnya, Allah sering menambahkan Quote "bagi kaum yang berpikir". dengan menggunakan Akal manusia tidak akan tertipu oleh keterbatasan kemampuan indrawi. tetapi tetap saja, Akal pun memiliki keterbatasan.

4. Hidayah Ad-din = hidayah berupa petunjuk-petunjuk ajaran agama. agama memberikan jawaban untuk hal-hal yang tak dapat dijawab hanya dengan pendekatan akal. agama berbicara mengenai hakikat kehidupan, kematian, kebahagiaan dll.

سورة يس

سورة يس من سور القرآن الكريم المكية, وتأخذ الترتيب السادس والثلاثون من المصحف الشريف, وأتت تسميتها بهذا الاسم لأن الله تعالى افتتحها بهذا اللفظ, وفي الافتتاح به بيان على إعجاز القرآن الكريم. عدد آياتها ثلاث وثمانون آية. تضمنت هذه السورة مواضيع أساسية كالبراهين والأدلة على وحدانية الله, والإيمان بحقيقة البعث والنشور, كما تضمنت الإخبار بقصة أهل القرية (1).

قراءة سورة يس

عن أبي بصير عن أبي عبد الله الحسين قال: (إن لكل شيء قلباً وإن قلب القرآن يس ومن قرآها قبل أن يمسي كان نهاره من المحفوظين والمرزوقين حتى يمسي ومن قرأها في ليلة قبل أن ينام وكل الله به ألف ملك يحفظونه من شر كل شيطان رجيم ومن كل آفة وإن مات في يومه أدخله الله الجنة وحضر غسله ثلاثون ألف ملك كلهم يستغفرون له ويشيعونه إلى قبره بالاستغفار له فإذا ادخل في لحده كانوا في جوف قبره يعبدون الله وثواب عبادتهم له وفسح له في قبره مد بصره وأومن من ضغطة القبر ولم يزل له في قبره نور يسطع إلى عنان السماء إلى أن يحرجه الله من قبره فإذا أخرجه لم يزل الملائكة يشيعونه ويحدثونه ويضحكون في وجهه ويبشرونه بكل خير حتى يجوزونه الصراط والميزان ويوقفونه من الله موقفاً لا يكون عند الله خلقاً أقرب منه إلا الملائكة المقربون وأنبياؤه المرسلون وهو مع النبيين واقف بين يدي الله لا يحزن مع من يحزن ولا يهم مع من يهم ولا يجزع مع من يجزع ثم يقول له الرب تبارك والله : اشفع عبدي أشفعك في جميع ما تشفع وسلني أعطك عبدي جميع ما تسأل فيسأل فيعطى ويشفع فيشفع ولا يحاسب فيمن يحاسب ولا يوقف مع من يوقف ولا يذل مع من يذل ولا ينكس بخطيئته ولا بشيء من سوء عمله ويعطى كتابا منشوراً حتى يهبط من عند الله فيقول الناس بأجمعهم: سبحان الله ما كان لهذا العبد من خطيئة واحدة ويكون من رفقاء النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وآله) ^{[محل شك]}.
